terra enferma

With Terra Enferma, or Sick Earth, I create visual metaphors of our changing climate and the resulting disasters.  Our Wide Blue and Black Sea suggests oil spills., while Ghost Forest expresses our dying forests.  SODS stands for Sudden Oak Death Syndrome which covered the hills in the Santa Cruz mountains with dead trees and branches.  This helped fuel the large CZU fire in 2020 which we could se from our home.
